Experience:
Dr. Hayden
joined GE in 1975. His first assignments were in GEs
Space Division designing crystal growth experiments
to fly in NASAs long duration flight program.
He transferred to Specialty Materials department, now
GE Superabrasives, in 1976. Since then, he has held
a variety of positions in R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing
and Marketing. He started as an Application Engineer
for Borazon* CBN, became Manager of Compacts Process
Development and then Operations Manager of GEs
Dublin, Ireland, facility. He has also served as Quality
Manager, Application Development Manager and Manager
of MBS Diamond Engineering. He has been in his current
position since 1996.
Dr. Hayden has authored or co-authored numerous publications,
primarily internal GE, and has been granted several
patents.
Technical
interests:
Currently
Dr. Hayden is actively engaged in better understanding
the mechanisms by which saw diamond cuts. The results
of this work will be better diamond products for better
diamond tools.
