BZN 6000 has micron size CBN crystals that are randomly oriented
and strongly bonded to each other and to a carbide substrate, providing
uniformly high hardness and wear resistance. This combination of
properties gives BZN 6000 excellent cutting edge characteristics and
high impact strength for machining pearlitic gray cast iron, hardened
ferrous metals (> 45 HRc) with severe interrupted cuts as well as
powder metals, hard facing and high-temperature alloys.
