BZN 8200 has a TiN ceramic binder phase in conjunction with
CBN to provide a strong resistance to chemical wear. BZN 8200 is specifically
designed for finish machining of hardened steels (>45 HRc). Its excellent
hardness, fracture toughness, chemical stability and wear resistance
provide superior cutting tool edge stability, tight part dimensional
control and consistent surface finish in both continuous and interrupted
hard steel machining applications. Hard turning operations with BZN
8200 can often replace conventional aluminum oxide grinding, achieving
metal removal rates up to 10 times greater than grinding while delivering
excellent surface finishes.
