Compax diamond tool blanks have a hardness approaching single-crystal
diamond and two to three times that of cemented tungsten carbide. The
abrasion resistance is about 100 times greater than tungsten carbide.
Compax Diamond blanks have an integrally bonded substrate of cemented
tungsten carbide to provide additional mechanical support for the abrasive
layer, increasing impact resistance and for ease of braze attachment in
tool fabrication
Compax diamond tool blanks are available in three product grades: 1300,
1500,
1600
Compax diamond tools are capable of high material removal rates in production
boring, turning and milling operations while providing consistently fine
surface finishes.
