Borazon
CBN 1000
Latest CBN technology for high-performance vitreous bond applications. Medium
fracture strength, high thermal stability and sharp, angular crystal shapes provide
increased performance and grinding efficiency in automotive and other production
grinding applications. |

Borazon
CBN 1200
Advanced coating design and production techniques are applied to the high performance
CBN 1000 crystal. This combination of technologies yields an unusually high level
of performance in today’s resin bonded grinding wheel systems. Longer wheel
life, lower grinding energy and improved surface finish are all possible at the
same time with this new superabrasive product. |

 |
| The form grinding of gear teeth
is an important application for Borazon CBN 500. This process improves geometric
accuracy and ground surface integrity, making a stronger, quieter, more durable
component. |
|
Segmented resin or vitreous bond
CBN face wheels are used to grind flat, parallel surfaces at increased production
rates with a very high degree of accuracy. These large contact applications are
very well suited for free-cutting, long lasting Borazon CBN 400/420. |

 |
| Aerospace components, made from
tough heat-sensitive, nickel and cobalt-based alloys are a major application area
for CBN grinding. Electroplated Borazon CBN 500 and vitreous bonded Borazon CBN
Type I are widely used in this application. |
|
The grinding of automotive crankshafts
(and camshafts) are two of the most widely accepted applications for Borazon CBN
wheels. Borazon CBN Type I and CBN 400 are both widely used in vitreous bonds
for these applications and provide long life, consistent finish and accurate geometries. |
