Monocrystalline
Products
 |
 |
Black
semi-tough, semi-blocky monocrystal extensively used in vitreous bond grinding
wheel systems and electroplated tools. Optimum balance of fracture strength and
breakdown characteristics to enhance wheel life, surface finish and dressing interval. |

|
|
 |
 |
Its fracture strength (toughness) is second only to Borazon CBN 500 in the world
of monocrystalline products. Its shape combined with unique fracture characteristics,
provide extended wheel life coupled with low grinding power: 50 to 100% longer
life and 10 to 20% lower power in ID, OD tool, die, gear and form grinding. |

 |
Gold in color, tough, blocky and most widely used in electroplated tools. Highest
fracture strength of any monocrystalline CBN product. Provides aggressive, long-life
performance in hardened tool steels, carbon and alloy steels as well as nickel
and cobaltbased superalloys. |
Microcrystalline
Products
 |
 |
The fracture strength of this extremely tough product is the highest of any CBN
product. Its shape, surface texture and consistent toughness, regardless of mesh
size, make it ideal for demanding high removal rate applications while providing
good surface finish. Widely used in metal, vitreous and vacuum braze bond systems
for honing as well as grinding. |

Extremely tough Borazon CBN 550 treated for electroplating applications. Often
used in large mesh applications where particle strength is important. Effective
in hardened tool steels as well as tough nickel and cobalt based aerospace alloys. |
